Try to explain him about the interests you have in this job and also the necessary reasons which promoted to choose this field than the other sectors. If you are into computer science explain why you like computer science and what are your interests you have in this Job.

5) What are your goals and ambitions?
When answering this question you should say why you have that specified goal and ambition.
(i) How you would like to achieve the goal
(ii) What company can do for that accomplishment?
(iii) To what extent you have achieved your goal and the progress of that?

6) Does you friend know about this job position?
This is a trick question and you should answer it accordingly never try to convince the interviewer speak facts.

7) Where would you like to see yourself after five years? When answering this question make yourself comfortable, this question is framed in many different ways?
I would like to see my self as an------ and I am confident in achieving that position because of my skills and abilities. This is the way in which I would like to achieve that position and then start explaining to the interviewer about the blue print. While answering these types of questions you need to speak to the point. Don’t drag the conversation because it can have a negative point.

8) What was your contribution to your previous project?
Make sure to detail him about all the possible ways you helped in completing the project. The interviewer should understand about the possible ways and technical skills you have used to complete the project in time. You need to explain him all the procedures you incorporated like the platform, IDE, Testing tools, debugging, major problems you faced, etc.

9) How much do you expect your salary and state if you want any additional benefits?
When answering this question do detail him about your salary expectations. Interviewers will negotiate when you say you want some extra amount than the normal pay scale so the ball is in your court do have high expectations.

Group Interview Questions

Group interview is an ideal win and win situation for both the employers and the employee. Both of them get benefited from the situation. This process helps the candidate to know more about the company and the interviewer will have a better chance to know about the communication skills, team play, management skills, ideas, IQ, etc.
Group interviews are being conducted by many companies and institutions. Companies initially have a group interview session to determine whether a candidate is suitable for an in-person interview session thereby avoiding costs and saving time. This is also a sort of group elimination technique used by the companies. Candidates will have greater chance to prove themselves at the initial phase about their qualities and strengths.
There are two types of group interviews to be precise. In the first one group of candidates are given various questions, topics, etc to discuss about often when required interviewer steps into. He might not be present physically but he observes the group and records the process.
In the second type a candidate attends to a group of interviewers often greater than two this is also called as panel interview.
Initially you will be observed for
1) Clothing and body language.

HR Interview Questions

Interview is very important because it decides your future and gives you an employment in the desired field. HR interview questions are particularly important because HR expects you to ask him some questions about the company, your job responsibilities, day to day functions, etc.
He might also judge your level of confidence when you are asking him questions.
You can ask questions to HR but do limit the number of questions you would be asking him because it should not become the other way round. Don’t provoke the HR it can have negative implications on your profile if you are selected also it will have implication on your confidentiality report. Ask genuine questions to the interviewer don’t try to fake your personality. Ask questions which are relevant to the company, job position, responsibilities, dress code, etc.

This question will clarify you about your job responsibilities. It gives you an exact picture. It also gives you the area you need to concentrate on.
8) What are the various benefits I obtain from this company?
9) Will I be provided with pick up and drop (travel benefits)?
10) How many branches are present for our company and what are the chances of me being posted near by?
11) Will the company provide scholarships or encourage higher studies?
Generally it is good to know the HR interviewer name and title because you can address him by those. It is good to have this information prior because it can help you.
12) How many employees will be assigned to my team?

With how many employees I need to work with?
13) What are the chances of promotion and what is the criterion for higher level position?
14) Is there any bond, advance or bond I need to sign?
15) Still are there any more rounds of interview?
16) Can I know about the company policy of equal opportunity and pay?
17) How often would I go on tours?
18) Will the company relocate me?
19) Where branch would I report to and specifically to whom should I report?
20) Which technology would I be working on?
21) Can you give me a brief job description?
There will be many questions on cafeteria, lunch, discounts, offers, gym, facilities, etc. Make a note that all these questions are not mean to be specifically for a fresher or experience it all depends upon the situation, experience, achievements, job position etc. Try no to ask all these questions just pick a few and ask the interviewer.

Phone Interview Questions

Generally phone interview is used as a screening process for final interview or in face interview. Process of conducting interviews through telephone is increasing by day and companies do often get their candidates during this initial phase. This process also reduces expenditure of the company. Patience level exhibited by recruiters on telephonic interview is minimal if you have
• Poor communication skills
• No command on the language
• Lack of technical skills
• Low grasping capabilities

These defects are prime concern for an interviewer and the worst part is you may never know when you would be receiving the call. Be prepared for the call always when you have applied for one.
There are also benefits with this process to the candidate they are
• One can attend the interview in his comfort zone.

When you are attending a telephonic interview you would get only few minutes to express about yourself and your technical capabilities. Make sure that you speak to the interviewer clearly and in audible tone.

Explain to the interviewer about how you would see you’re self after five years from now. You can speak about your long term goals and short term goals. Also state whether you would like to learn any language or specific skill during this period.

State positive attributes about yourself and also remember that we do have our negatives just state some of them which you would like to stop or reduce. Employers like to always have neutral employees rather than over positive or negative people around them. Try to be calm, neutral and honest
7) What are all the languages or skills you have with our current opening?
This is a chance to express about you. Make sure that you explain to him about skills you have which might not be relevant to the current opening but they will have long term benefits when you are selected. If you are not selected then you will have an edge when those skills are required by the employer.

Project Interview Questions

Every candidate will be questioned and judged on the projects he has completed. A candidate worth is known only by the projects he has completed and the learning (work) experience he obtained from it.
For a fresher it is very important to have a good project if he wants to land in the job with a good starting salary. If a candidate wants to enter into software field but has is major project in Mechanical it is very important for him to relate or link that mechanical project with software programming. This can also improve the reliability of the mechanical structure and can give him an edge from other candidates who solely rely on programming without linking it to real time development application structures.
Experienced candidates are known as experienced because they have real time experience in a project. They need to explain about the project they had handled in their company. Entire description of the project should be known to the employee and with that: -

5) Programming languages, complexities, platforms and trouble shooting guidelines should be clearly stated.

For this question you have to state the various different standards you employed during the project. In this example you need to explain about the duration of the project and the necessary commitments from your team members for the completion of the project. You need to explain to him various stages of development and the team member’s participation (including you) and contribution to the project.

3) Tell and explain to us about a specific situation during the project where you have to cope with a less experienced candidate in your team and what are the measures you took to meet your deadlines?
When answering this question you have to explain about the specific part of the project which you handled. Try to have a positive tone when explaining about the problem your team has faced and the way you overcame the problem by taking corrective measures. Be honest and explain to the interviewer everything in detail including the problem, measures you took and the important one outcome.

4) What are all the technical measures and aspects required in the project? Explain?
Explain to the interviewer about the technical aspects which were required in the project. Make sure that you detail him about all the fields.

6) What do you know about this company and this job position?
To answer this question you should do some research on the company and the Job position as a whole. Explain to him about the relevant skills which you have relevant to the job opening and how best you can give your experience to the company which it can benefit from.

7) What are your strengths and weakness in general and technical?
Make an exhaustive list about all your strengths and weakness. Explain to him about them make sure that you don’t place emphasis either on your weakness or strengths. Explain to him everything in detail and the corrective measures you are taking to overcome the strengths and benefits.

8) Tell us some of your extraordinary skills which place you in the leading position over the other finalists?
This question is giving you chance to stand out of the group. Again you can explain to him about your project, team management skills, leadership, efficiency, stress management, etc. Don’t forget to mention your technical skills.

9) What was the criticism you got during your projects, how did you handle it and what are the measures you took to avoid repetition of the same?
There are always criticisms during the project either due to wrong logic, deployment, etc. Be honest and explain to him the criticism you received during that and the specific situation in which you have received it. After stating that explain to him about the corrective measures you had taken to avoid the same.

Questions to ask during an Interview

It is always good to do some research about the company and the job position to which you are applying to you. A thorough research should be involved which will answer points on the project and the job position. Questions will be based on the requirements of the company. Try to view frequently asked general questions and technical questions based on the job position you are going to apply.
Interviewers expect you to ask questions and it is always a good practice to ask questions. There is no better person than the interviewer to clear your doubts on the company and the job position.
Make sure that you get clear insight about the company needs and expectations from you, salary, company products, performance, promotions, etc. Don’t ask questions for the sake of asking them instead make a thorough research for the doubts or questions you have. If they are not resolved then ask the interviewer.

Please do remember that some of the questions are intended for highly experienced candidates. Make a note of all the questions which are relevant to you and your experience or to your level of employment position. Never provoke the HR interviewer because it can have drastic consequences in some cases it might also be recorded as over aggressive behavior.

13) How many people I will be working with in a team?
14) Can you tell me about the people with whom I will be working in a team?

20) How will the subordinates address superiors?
The above questions are formal ones and they give you a knowledge about the company, its working environment, staff and assignments you would be given. To some of these questions you may not receive a reply because of trade agreements, confidentiality, etc.

21) Do you have any advice for someone in this job position?
22) Are there any other job positions present in the company to which a possible transfer can be obtained?
23) How will I be intimated if I pass through the interview?
24) What possible responsibilities can I get in the management cadre?
These are some of the questions you can ask to the interviewer. Always maintain a positive tone and don’t forget you may be questioned during the process also. Ask them about the
1) Projects they have.
2) Whether the company is in healthy position.
3) Guarantee of employment (try maintaining a positive tone because it can give them a hint that you want greener pastures and not the work in general).

Make sure that you ask them after the interview.
If you want to know the status of your interview you can always ask him. Many HR employees do not divulge the details before the interview they always divulge it after the interview. You can frame your question in this manner

This is a very important question make good use of it by explaining to him about how you prepared reports, programs, flow charts, designs, etc. Try to explain to him about all the computer programs you have learned so far. Also he wants to know which programming language you have used on live projects.

16) Do you have international exposure?
